Things To Do

Cali Spartan Mexican Kitchen

515 South 10th Street, San Jose, CA 95112

Our go-to place for tacos. This restaurant also have a taco truck that's open till late (12AM or 1AM depending on the day). Whenever Audrey would come back to visit from Arizona, this would be the first meal back home. Order the super crispy tacos with your choice of meat. Their strawberry agua fresca is good for those who have a sweet tooth. Don't forget to add the orange sauce for the tacos!

Carmel-by-the-Sea

Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA 93921

1.5 hour drive south of San Jose is a romantic scenic coastal town of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Depending of time of year sometimes you're able to see local wildlife such as seals and migrating whales. For my nature lover, Point Lobos State Reserve is a must see.

Uvas Canyon County Park

8515 Croy Road, Morgan Hill, CA 95037

We went here for our first date - hiking. The park does require parking regristation prior to arriving. Most of the trails are shaded, and the park has several small waterfalls. Needless to say, it was the start of something new!

Sen Dai Sushi

224 North Abel Street, Milpitas, CA 95035

Audrey's order is the 237 roll, and Jason's order is the Stormbringer.

Cinnabar Hills Golf Club

23600 McKean Road, San Jose, CA 95141

Located in South San Jose is Cinabar Hills, Jason's Favorite public golf course. Cinnabar offers 27 holes spread across three distinct nine-hole courses — Canyon, Lake, and Mountain — each blending rolling hills, elevation changes, and scenic valley views. The layout provides a challenging but fair test, with strategic bunkering, water features, and fast, well-maintained greens.
