Ariana and Jason met while working in different departments at Metropolitan Community College. They didn't work directly together, so they didn't talk much. That changed one afternoon in 2016 when they struck up a conversation in passing at the water fountain between their offices. This continued for a while and Ariana's friends teased her that they were like kids in middle school only talking at the water fountain. The conversations turned into lunch dates, dinner dates, movies, trips, 2 dogs, house projects, and an engagement.
Jason planned a very meaningful proposal with the pups on a hot Saturday afternoon. Ariana was greeted with notes, roses, rose petals and music. Jason convinced (bribed with treats) the dogs, Max and Myla, to present her with a note and the ring. Jason felt that he accomplished an impossible feat by pulling this off without Ariana having any idea anything was going on. Because, let's be real, it is hard to get ANYTHING by her. Oh, and of course she said YES ;)
Besides traveling together, we enjoy house projects (as much as you can), interior decorating (Ariana) and long walks down the street with our two favorite pups, Max and Myla. Jason is in a band that plays at many local venues. Ariana loves their music, especially with a nice glass of wine. Ariana and Jason have been attending classes and working from home since the pandemic began. Like everyone else, they have faced challenges and had their ups and downs. Ultimately, it has brought them closer as they have navigated close quarters in a very small house! In fact, Ariana graduated Summa Cum Laude in May with her undergraduate degree in Social Psychology from Park University. Jason is very proud of her commitment to her education while working full time.
We are looking forward to tying the knot and beginning the next chapter of our lives together. We hope you can join us at the trail head on September 19 for our vows and a hike! (No fancy clothes needed & a lot of outdoor fresh air and space for social distancing). For any of our friends and family who can’t be with us, we will look forward to celebrating with you on October 10th in our home! Please RSVP for the reception on the RSVP tab. Thank you so much for all of your love, support and understanding. Now, go get your party pants ready!!
