Jason was losing hope after a string of bad first dates, but had a good feeling about Alison and forced himself to go on one more date. That turned out to be the best decision of his life and he knew it as soon as she walked into the bar on that 95 degree day in July. Meanwhile, Alison spent a full hour before the date in crisis, trying to figure out which shoes to wear. After many videos and photos sent to the group chat, she finally settled on a pair. Jason never looked at her shoes once that night. The night ended after many glasses of wine and Jason rambling on about planes (which Alison miraculously found adorable). And the rest is history - a date night turned into weekends together, which now turns into forever together. As the months went on Jason schlepped from Hoboken to the Upper West Side multiple times a week to see Alison. Being steps away from Central Park, they loved to take walks along the Jackie O. Reservoir and talk about their future together (and planes). After a year of schlepping, they decided to stop delaying the inevitable and moved in together in Hoboken. Jason never thought he'd live with a cat, but he'd be the first to say it's one of the biggest perks of his new life with Alison (shout out to Cuppy). Now they love to cook in their kitchen that is finally bigger than a shoe box, go to Willie McBride's to check out the local bands, and spend time with their Hoboken crew (shout out to the Hobos). On October 18th, 2025 they returned to the Upper West Side to recreate their favorite walk in Central Park. They stopped on their favorite bridge, Jason got down on one knee, and asked Alison to marry him. She said "Of course!" And now we party!
