PLEASE READ as most of your questions are probably being answered here. If you have any other questions not listed here, please feel free to reach out to either Jason or Trish...ONLY text Trish (IYKYK)
Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your tiny humans, but this will be an ADULTS-ONLY celebration. Give yourself the night off! There are ONLY two children on the invite list...The Flower Girl and the Ring Bearer.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Clothes are strongly encouraged! Bonus points if you match the dress code (Teal/Orange...Think Miami Dolphins). Negative points if you show up in a T-Rex costume. It's Puerto Rico so...casual island or bohemian style. Ladies...where flat shoes as the Hacienda is primarily grass and has some uneven areas. Most important...We want you to be comfortable!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Only if your invitation says so. If you're unsure, ask us! If your plus one is a celebrity, please also let us know — we’d like a selfie.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Please pace yourselves. This is a wedding, not a frat party (but we understand lines can blur). Trish and Jason are providing a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (sodas, beer, vodka, tequila, whiskey, and wine). The bar staff will have tip jars for those who would like to show their gratitude.

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

No. Your presence is the real gift!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please refer to the "Schedule" section of the website. Transportation to the venue is being provided by Trish and Jason- NO EXCEPTIONS...The bus will depart on time so, make sure you are on it!

Question

What’s for dinner?

Answer

Delicious things. Full pig on a spit (Lechon a la vara) and plenty of traditional Puerto Rican sides to go with it. We promise. If you have dietary restrictions, let us know — we’ll make sure you’re not stuck with lettuce and air...maybe.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes. Whether you’re a trained salsa dancer or you just aggressively stomp in place, we want to see those moves.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We'd love for you to take all the pictures you want. However, don't forget to be present in the moment. We want to make memories with you! We will have a photographer taking some pictures as well as a 360 photobooth and a QR code to share your pictures.

Question

Who's more excited about the wedding?

Answer

Jason says he is. Trish says she is. Bailey says it’s definitely her...even if she is not going to be there and If you don't know who Bailey is...shame on you! We'll let you decide at the reception.

Question

The Do's and Don'ts of Puerto Rico!!!

Answer

1. Embrace the culture, explore the vibrant traditions, and enjoy the unique cuisine. 2. Learn some Spanish phrases to enhance your interactions with locals. Don't assume everyone speaks English. 3. Island Time is REAL: Things often move at a slower pace here, whether it’s restaurant service or traffic. Rushing is not part of the culture. 4. Don't rely on public transportation...RENT A CAR! 5. HONKING IS A LANGUAGE!!! Honking is used as a form of communication rather than aggression. Tip: Don’t be alarmed by honks—they’re often friendly reminders or warnings. (Jason still has issues with this). 6. POTHOLES...EVERYWHERE! Use the left lane as the right lanes are always worn. Tip: Dodge the potholes like you're playing Mario Kart and dodging bananas! 7. DON'T FLUSH TOILET PAPER- Plumbing systems here aren’t always designed to handle flushed toilet paper. Tip: Dispose of toilet paper in the bin provided in restrooms. 8. Noise is a Way of Life- Puerto Ricans love music, celebrations, and lively conversations. You may encounter loud gatherings, especially during holidays or weekends. Tip: Embrace the energy and join in the fun if invited, but don’t expect quiet evenings in densely populated areas. 9. Smile and Be Friendly- Puerto Ricans are generally warm and hospitable, and friendliness is a big part of the culture. Tip: A smile and a kind attitude will go a long way in building rapport with locals.
