Alex and Jason met for the first time in 4th grade at Grace Best Elementary school, however they didn't really know each other. In their senior year of high school, they re-met at the Maid of Honors birthday party and that is where the real story starts. They both had every intention of breaking up before college, which was coming only a few short months after they started dating. Alex was going to Colorado State University, and Jason to school in South Carolina. However, they decided that they liked each other to much to call it quits, so they kept dating... long distance. Jason ended up transferring to Colorado State University in the second semester of their freshman year and 6 short years later, we find ourselves here.. engaged, and ready to go forward in the next stage of our relationship. We find life easier to live together... not to mention way more fun, and we cannot wait to start this next chapter of our lives together.

Wow.. this was definitely a long time coming.. but it was absolutely perfect in every way. I should preface this by saying, Alex knew it was coming.. just didn't know when or how. Jason planned a romantic dinner at Middleton Place, a gorgeous plantation in Charleston on a Friday night. We arrived a little early for dinner and decided to take a walk around the grounds, which were gorgeous. As we were walking we passed by beautiful trees with Spanish moss, little ponds with bridges crossing over them and old stone buildings. We finally came up to the Butterfly Lakes overlooking the Ashley River as the sun set. Jason got down on one knee and asked Alex to spend forever with him, she said yes (thank god.. or you wouldn't be reading this story).
