Blood couldn’t make us closer. Tyriek or Big Ty as I call him, has been a brother to me since birth. You can find many family photos throughout the years with Him, Jay and Myself. We were always together. We have been each other’s saving grace, voice of reason, and even lawyers when our mothers were involved. There is nothing that Ty wouldn’t do for his family and nothing we won’t do for him. Jasmine found a good guy in this one. I can’t wait to witness this union.

I first met Ty at my sister Tina’s house. My sister Jasmine and I went over there to see them and hangout out. As we were leaving Jasmine gave Ty a hug, then a kiss. The car ride home started off very quiet and awkward as I had no idea why they kissed each other. Then she broke the silence and told me that they’ve been dating and she really liked him. I honestly have never heard my sister talk about anyone that way in all my years of living. So I knew it was real. At our family reunion in Atlanta I saw how nice and respectful he treated the my family, especially my grandmother. After that I instantly knew that he was the man for my sister and I’m glad to call him my brother in law!

I met Ty in 2017 on a double date with my now wife, Bertina and his wife to be Jasmine. I was invited to this outing because I was being vetted by Ty and Jasmine. After passing the background check, credit check, and church check, I got the stamp of approval. I wouldn’t have imagined that three years later, Ty would be my daughter’s godfather. Ty has been an awesome friend, brother, godfather and sober voice for me and my family. I’m very thankful, but more importantly honored to be standing alongside Ty on his day of matrimony. I pray the blessings of the Lord always fall upon Ty and Jasmine. They are truly meant to be together. And I’m glad they are my daughters godparents! Love you guys!
