Sultan and I met at the University of Toronto, starting as friends amid the campus chaos. Casual chats soon turned into something more. He’s quiet, I’m talkative, but we clicked. On a Go bus ride home, he asked, “Would you date me?” I said yes, panicked, and bolted to ask Uday and Shivani for advice. They said go for it—and it was the right call. We started dating during COVID, keeping it simple: park walks, coffee runs, picnics. Our first date at Moxie’s was memorable—me with swollen cheeks, but grinning ear to ear. Hikes and little adventures built our connection. Then came the proposal at Polson Pier. Sunset, family, a violinist playing my favorite song—it was perfect.
