It all began with a party...board games party that is. Seth invited his friend, Tori, while Jasmine was visiting. Jasmine didn't particularly want to go. Once arriving, the first thing Seth said to Jasmine was, "Where is your husband?" mistaking her for another friend. From there, Seth continued to give Jasmine lots of attention and repeating the new British phrase he learned from Jasmine, "That's a good shout," over and over again. Fast forward to the next day when Seth felt that God was saying he was going to meet his wife at Tori's birthday party (he found it hard to believe too). Jasmine found herself looking and waiting for Seth's arrival; she couldn't figure out why. They spent the whole party together, getting to know one another. They saw each other one more time on that trip. Jasmine returned to the UK and neither could forget about each other.

After messaging off and on for a couple months, Tori gets the scoop: they both are interested. But it wasn't time yet. After almost half a year of silence, Seth reached out to Jasmine for a call. After a week of calling every day and a We're Not Really Strangers card about boundaries, Seth mentions his potential interest. Jasmine quickly replied, "We need to talk about that," to which Seth said, "Yes, but not today" (it was his birthday after all). The next day they address their interest and embark on a month of getting to know one another and prayer, discerning if moving forward would be a good idea. They consult their friends and wait to see what might be. After a month and a half of getting to know each other, consulting community, and prayer, Jasmine and Seth have "the conversation." After talking it through, they agreed it was worth a try. Long distance is no joke.

Seth proposed in South Lake Tahoe. He started with showing Jasmine a customized "Our Adventure Book," (from the movie UP) filled with scrapbook memories from their relationship. At the end was a photo of the tree they were sitting under. Seth then got on one knee and asked the question, which Jasmine gave a quick yes to. She also said, "Now that is a good shout," referencing the one British phrase she taught him that first day. Tori and Brandon were there taking secret photos and videos, and Tori took some beautiful photos for them to share. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
