We're getting married! ¡Nos vamos a casar!

Who knew a simple 5 year old Nike windbreaker at a youth conference both of us didn't really want to be at would be the start of a new beginning? ¿Quién iba a decir que una simple chaqueta Nike de 5 años en una conferencia de jóvenes en la que ambos no queríamos estar sería el inicio de un nuevo comienzo?

A few days before Christmas, Ryan had planned to go to this town in Chagrin Falls for us to walk around and see the Christmas decorations. I thought nothing of it and was so excited to go. Ryan told me to take pictures of everything I saw, and I just went along with it. We ended up going into the gazebo at the center of town and were just looking around in there when a group wanted to take a picture. Ryan got my attention and pulled me back so that I wouldn't be in the background (I'm never paying attention). Then as we were about to leave, Ryan pulled me back again and, thinking there was someone else trying to take a picture, I quickly turned around and there he was down on one knee. After a few deep breaths and tears, I said "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. Unos días antes de la Navidad, Ryan había planeado ir a este pueblo de Chagrin Falls para que paseáramos y viéramos las decoraciones navideñas. No me lo pensé y estaba muy emocionada por ir. Ryan me dijo que tomara fotos de todo lo que viera y yo le seguí la corriente. Anduvimos caminando y llegamos a la glorieta del centro de la ciudad y estábamos mirando allí dentro cuando un grupo quiso tomarse una foto. Ryan llamó mi atención y me hizo retroceder para que no quedara en la foto (nunca presto atención). Luego, cuando estábamos a punto de irnos, Ryan volvió a llamar mi atencion y, pensando que había alguien más intentando tomarse una foto, me giré rápidamente y allí estaba él, arrodillado. Después de respirar profundamente y llorar, dije "SÍ" y nos comprometimos. Estamos muy contentos de celebrar este próximo capítulo de nuestras vidas con ustedes.
