Nitin and Jasmine first met in 2012. She thought he was cute. He thought she was annoying and LOUD. So, nothing happened for a full year. It wasn't until the summer of 2013 that they started talking to each other. The conversation started when Nitin asked his sister to introduce him to a girl. Sonam gave Nitin Jasmine's phone number, and he reached out with the corniest pickup line ever. The rest is history.

On Saturday, August 26 2018, Jasmine woke up to a mysterious letter written by Nitin. The letter asked her to pick a nice dress and meet him at the Church Hill Overlook in Richmond by 6 PM. Jasmine had a feeling that was the day Nitin was going to propose to her, so she spent the day searching for a cute dress and becoming more and more nervous as the hours passed. Nitin and his family showed up to the overlook around 5:45 PM. They helped him prepare a picnic, then they disappeared and waited until he proposed. Jasmine showed up promptly at six, and Nitin proposed a few minutes later. Then, the whole family came out and celebrated with champagne and snacks.
