How did we meet, that is a good question, funny but a very good question. It all started with our fathers, Mr. Walker and Mr. Mcdonal. So I told my dad that I needed my car fixed and he sent me his friend’s number and that friend so happen to be Cory’s dad who is Marty. My dad Jerry told me to reach out to him and set something up so he could take a look at my car and to get it fixed. Long story short I get off work and drop my car off to my dad’s friend’s Marty house to get my car fixed and a few hours later we get a call to come pick it up. We pull up to Marty’s house and my dad gets out the car with me to retrieve my car from his friend. As we are walking up the driveway, two young men approached us and those two young men just so happened to be my soon to be husband Cory and his little brother. My dad asked where was Marty at and Cory said he was not here and then my dad stated “Are ya Marty Boys?” And Cory said yes and my dad just had to say it!! He said “Ya are some handsome young men” I wanted to scream and hide, I was so embarrassed; But you were handsome babe I was looking!! So a few days later I get a call from Cory and trust me I knew then he wanted me and I was screaming with joy in the inside because I thought he is so fine!! Cory calls me and says that he left my engine hood off my car and if I could swing by so he could put the engine hood back on. I showed up after work and mind you, I looked horrible and I did not want to see him; so when he came to my car door, I barley opened my door so he couldn’t see me and I just knew he was going to try and shoot his shot but to my surprise he did not! But ya’ll I could tell she did not want me to shoot my shot then; so I didn’t but I was not gone miss the chance and let the opportunity pass me by. So I waited a few hours later and sent her that text message when she got home and the rest was history!! I knew she was different so I had to wife her up to leave no room for no man to take her from me! I proposed to her 3 months later on her birthday when nobody knew and she said “Yes”. Our love story is so unorthodox but that is what makes us the soon to be Lovings. She had me at “Hi” and he had me at “Hello”. Our paths have just begun and we are so excited to do this crazy thing called life together.
