Our story began on September 18, 2019. Malik had been working for Brinks, and Jasmine was a manager for Aramark at Temple University. Malik actually didn’t normally stop at that location but that day, his partner insisted that he handled the stop. And that one small change ended up changing everything. From that very first interaction there was immediate chemistry, light flirting, curious energy, and those double take glances that neither of them wanted to admit they were doing. After a month of small talk and playful conversations, Malik was talking about his evening plans with friends and slyly suggested Jasmine come, so she asked for his number. Hours later, she finally texted, "So, what's the moves?" Over the next few weeks, they spent hours on the phone getting to know each other and it became obvious that we were interested in being more than just friends. For their first date, they decided to go to Mad Mex (RIP - iykyk), and afterwards headed to Speed Raceway for a friendly go-kart race. They'll let yall guess who won that. From that moment forward, Jasmine & Malik became inseparable (King as well). They spent time together after work every day talking, laughing, eating, planning next dates. A few months later, covid came and the world shut down. But instead of creating distance, it pulled them together even closer. Although the majority of their days were spent inside, literally spending thousands on Doordash and Ubereats, this time made their connection deeper, the bond stronger, and confirmed what they already felt - that this was the beginning of their forever.

Fast forward, five years later, they celebrated their anniversary in New York. Jasmine had been talking about wanting to see The Lion King on Broadway for quiet some time, and Malik had been quietly planning a proposal, waiting for the right moment. He suggested that they go to an art show before dinner while we were in the city. Of course this raised some suspicion with Jasmine but she also knows Malik is very spontaneous so she went along with it. Above an art gallery in Chelsea awaited his romantic surprise - a beautiful, intimate proposal where he asked Jasmine to marry him. And now here we are ready to start the next chapter! We've had an amazing journey thus far, and the best part of our story is still being written.
