WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We met at church in 2022 while serving in kids ministry, and somewhere between being in classrooms together, random conversations, and random Dutch runs in between services, we became really good friends. Langston asked me out in 2023, and our first first date didn’t go very well. But somehow that didn’t stop us. It led to a couple more “first dates” throughout 2023 as we kept trying and figuring things out. By the third try, our actual first date was on February 22, 2024, when we went to see a movie. What I didn’t know at the time was that Langston had already seen it and didn’t even like it, but he went again anyway just to experience it with me and kept that to himself. That day ended up meaning a lot to us. Not long after, on March 14, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Our relationship was built slowly and on purpose, with two things that matter most to us: loving God more than we love each other and building a real friendship. On February 22, 2026, exactly two years after that movie date, Langston proposed. And I said yes.
