We met on Hinge. I had graduated college, just got licensed and was on a mini trip with my best friends at Kalahari. They were finally able to persuade me into making a Hinge profile (they made the whole profile for me, top to bottom). A little over a month later Kwang had liked a comment on my profile where I wrote "I'm shy when I meet new people but if you're willing to be patient with me, I'll open up to you." He was the only person who liked that statement written on my profile and that led me to click on his profile. Next thing I know, we're texting each other everyday and not too long after he asked me out on a date to meet in person. We had our first in-person date the day before Halloween at Kin'd.

I was celebrating my birthday a few days late with my best friends (yes, the very same ones who created my Hinge profile). They kept me distracted the whole time we were out, making sure I wasn't on my phone too much, and made me the driver for the day. They even convinced me to go to Target after I said I didn't like my outfit and some how persuaded me into buying a white top. While I was enjoying my birthday celebration Kwang was back at my house decorating the living room with the help of my brother. My friends were secretly texting Kwang the timeline of when we would all be arriving. Once we got back to my house to eat some birthday cake, I was surprised by the subtle background music and Kwang standing in the middle of the living room with a bouquet of sunflowers, smiling. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Obviously I said YES!
