We’re so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area (Houston, DFW, Waco, Austin, College Station, San Antonio) with you. Try as many restaurants as you can. Like LA, Houston is known to be home to many great cuisines, ethnic food and of course Texas BBQ and steaks. *Must Do Near Lake Conroe Hit the lake –Rent a paddleboard or jet ski, go fishing, try a cycle boat. Enjoy a romantic sunset Lake Conroe Dinner Cruise then stroll shops/ waterfront restaurants. Historic Downtown Conroe -lined with restored century-old buildings, art galleries, boutique shops, and cozy cafes. Sam Houston National Forest –this massive 160,000-acre forest is the perfect spot for fishing, bird, and wildlife watching, biking and camping; the highlight is the 128-mile Lone Star Hiking trail "Jewel of Texas.” Local suds: Southern Star Brewing Company, B-52 Brewing Co, Copper Head. Lone Star Monument and Historical Flag Park – showcases Montgomery County as the birthplace of the Lone Star Flag

If you are near the galleria area, stop by this place This is a beautiful (and romantic) place to visit in Uptown Houston near the Galleria. I've been many times. Once I participated in a wedding near there (and we almost got arrested, apparently the couple didn't get a permit and the cop was a real jerk about it too, he didn't have to rudely interrupt things). Anyway, it's a quick stop but breathtaking and Houston visitors should make this a must see stop and Houston residents should all visit at least once.

MUST TRY STEAK HOUSE while in Houston As one of the country's highest-volume steakhouses, this beloved Houston restaurant served up $17 million worth of beef in 2016. Bone-in cowboy ribeye, porterhouse, and tomahawk steaks are on offer, all at prices (around $40 to $60 and up) that won't break the bank.

Pappas Bros. Steakhouse

another great steak house to die for

Top-quality cuts of beef from Japan are the focal point at this Houston newcomer. The menu of sushi is definitely solid, but the three different types of imported beef (including Akaushi and Miyazaki) are well worth the hefty price tag,
