Who knew that a few likes on a Twitter post and a video game would bring us together in a way neither of us expected? After a couple of liked posts, Jasmine sent Dylan a DM asking, “Hey, I saw you played Smite—want to play together?” And just like that, everything began. What started as gaming turned into morning phone calls during commutes, late-night Skype dates, and virtual movie nights. Eventually, Jasmine skipped a spring break trip to Florida and instead flew to New York to meet Dylan in person. Cue “I’d Do Anything for Love” by Meat Loaf. After nearly a year of long distance, their bond was even stronger. Following Jasmine’s college graduation, she moved to New York, and together they discovered a shared love for adventure, exploring hiking trails, trying new wines, traveling to Montreal for a rainy (yet memorable) Formula 1 weekend, and embracing life with their furry companions. In October 2024, after a long hike and a bit of tent-setting chaos, Dylan proposed at sunset in Naples, NY. It was simple, heartfelt, and perfect. Jasmine did a little dance and said, “Yes, finally!” Cheers to a lifetime of adventures to come!
