When it comes to love it can really find you in the most random ways! The funny thing is, is that neither one of us was really looking for a relationship. We grew up in the same town around the same people and it took 17 years for us to meet. I wish I can say we meet in some place magically but it was a Walmart parking lot! On October 5, 2020 is when our love story begins! The town we grew up in doesn’t have much to do, which leaves you driving around for fun. Which is what me and my best friend was doing when she asked me if I wanted to go see Brandon. Which for back story we have been friends since elementary school and she always talked about this Brandon guy and his family but always made it out to seem like they lived far away. So when she asked me I was confused at who she was talking about. She then said “you know Brandon”. I paused and my gears started turning and I respond with “what thee Brandon, like Childhood Brandon”. ( he can never let it down that I called him thee Brandon by the way) She then said “ Yeah that Brandon he works at Walmart”. Which confused me even more because this whole time I thought they didn’t live near us. Come to find we lived right under each other’s noses and had no clue. He work about 5 minutes from my house and we never saw each other. Needless to say she drives to Walmart and sure enough there he is pushing buggies in the parking lot. We parked the car, got out and went said hi then went inside. When we got inside I said “ why haven’t you ever told me that he lived here?” Which she said “Oh I thought I told you”. We conversed a bit longer and I ended up telling her that he was really cute. She smiled and blushed and whipped her phone out. She snapchated him immediately and told him exactly what I said. I wanting to crawl in my skin I was so embarrassed, but to my luck he replayed right back and said he thought the same thing to give me his Snapchat. I got excited but nervous at the same time, mostly because we had to walk back out of Walmart and I had to face him. We later all went to a haunted house together, and before we went inside we all locked hands. While getting scared the order we were in kept changing but me and him never let go of each others hands. By the time we make it out, we are all laughing and walking back to the car. It wasn’t until we made it to the front of the car is when we realized me and him were still holding hands. It felt so natural, we didn’t even notice. Talking to him felt like I knew him my whole life, which sounds crazy to say I know. But until you’ve experienced this level of love then you might think that. On October 17th, 2020 is when we officially started dating, and even by then I knew I had already fallen in love with him! We found ourselves almost saying I love you at the end of texts and phone calls. Even we knew that for the time frame we’ve know each other it was crazy that we had such intense emotions towards each other, which made us nervous and excited at the same time! We later got engaged on November 7th, 2021. That’s after Brandon asked my dad for my hand in marriage in the Carowinds men’s bathroom! Let’s just say our story isn’t anywhere close to being common or boring! I say 17 years lightly because we are fortunate enough to find the love of our lives at such a young age. Like the saying goes “when you know you know”!
