It was January of 2015, the first gospel choir practice of the new year. Everyone was catching up, when a new face walked in the room. Her name was Jasmine, a transfer student from UCM. Her beautiful smile was the first thing I noticed. She had a certain glow to her that I had never seen before. It was something about her that I had to know.  Luckily for me, a snow storm hit during our choirs' Black History Month performance. I had my roommates SUV and offered Jasmine a ride back to her dorm and because of how it was snowing, she kindly accepted. On the way to her dorm, I asked her where she was from and her major. When she said St. Louis, my eyes lit up. After we arrived at her dorm, I asked for her number to call her about doing homework together sometime. She gave me a little smile and said "Sure, text me", and we've been in love ever since!
