A day to remember

Once upon a time (but not that long ago!), two friends named Conner and Jasmine met in youth group. They were part of the same close-knit friend group — the kind that laughed too loud, stayed too late, and somehow turned ordinary nights into lasting memories. For a while, they were simply friends. One night while the group was all together, Conner jokingly ordered 100 tiny rubber ducks on Jasmine’s Amazon account. Instead of returning them, Jasmine and the other girls decided to turn the surprise into a game. Soon, the little ducks began appearing everywhere — hidden in Conner’s backpack, tucked into his car, perched in his water bottle, and placed in the most unexpected spots. This led to constant texting back and forth about all the creative hiding places. What started as a silly prank turned into shared laughter, inside jokes, and more reasons to talk every day. And somewhere between Bible study walks, hidden ducks, and growing friendship… things began to change. Then, on September 21st, 2024, Conner asked Jasmine on a date again. This time, Jasmine said yes! And that yes was different. It came after friendship, faith, growth, patience, and perfect timing.
