FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jasmin Fowler-Puja and Tony Soto
Question

What’s the ceremony attire?

Answer

The picture above is an example of what you can wear. It’ll be a sarong for everyone, headpiece and white button down for the gents, and kabaya (lace shirt) or button down blouse and sash for the ladies. Sarongs and sashes are super easy to find and buy there, and premade kabayas should also be pretty easy to find. Shoes can be whatever, but I’d recommend something that comes off easily as you’ll be expected to take shoes off whenever going inside or walking on porches.

Question

What airport to fly into?

Answer

There’s only one! You’ll fly into Denpasar, and the wedding pretty close (an hour-ish depending on traffic). Our favorite way to get there is on Singapore airlines. They have a flight that goes direct from Newark or JFK to Singapore, and right to Bali.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

I put a few recommendations in the travel section. The Hyatt is the hotel I’m most familiar with, and the others I listed are on the same stretch of beach, but any hotels in that general area should be a safe bet

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

August is still the dry season (mostly), so it shouldn’t be too muggy or rainy. It’ll still be hot and sunny, so bring your summer clothes. If you plan to make any trips up north, bring a long pair of pants and some light layers, as it gets cooler.

Question

How will we get to and from the ceremony location?

Answer

We’re going to have some people driving back and forth from the main beach area (meeting location TBA). There are also lots of taxis around if you’d rather not wait, and it’s just a 10 min drive.

Question
