I distinctly remember watching Jasmin running through the door as our orientation for the Intern class was about to begin. I reached out introducing myself while she ran by and completely ignored my handshake..I thought to myself "How rude!". Two months later we had no other option than to talk to each other as we were the only two interns on the night shift. That's when I realized how first impressions can be so wrong. As I had gotten to know her, it made me realize that we shared more in common than I had ever shared with anyone else to date. Apart from many we shared a common love for nature and National Parks. What started as a visit together to John MacArthur National Park soon became countless breathtaking memories as we explored the beauty of The Appalachian, Yellowstone, The Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Zion, Bryce, The Everglades, to name a few. Facing life's challenges together while sharing the same zeal and passion for life, how truly blessed I am to fall in love with my best friend!

He said we were headed to Maimi after we had paid a visit to his brother in Palm Beach. As medical residents training in West Palm, we always had a special connection to the area. I had a long tiring week at work and passed out in the car as we headed to Miami. I woke up a few hours later in front of a beautiful restaurant by the sea. I was so tired and hungry I had no idea how many hours had gone by. What I did not know was that I was not in Miami. Something seemed different and as I gradually came to realize that we were actually in Key West, I see Sandeep nervously bending down on his knee with a beautiful ring, I felt like time stood still, the only word that came to my mind was “ yes”! How I can say no to this handsome boy down on his knees, with the cutest face and dimples that I can never forget!
