January 2016: It all started with a swipe to the right... After exchanging a few “LOL’s,” Jasmin and Marcus went on their first date. While they hit it off initially, neither were ready to commit to a relationship and decided to go their separate ways. That summer Jasmin had just started a new job, and Marcus bought a new townhouse that he was renovating with his dad. Jasmin's work was coincidentally minutes away from Marcus's new place. One afternoon on her lunch break she decided to go to her favorite sandwich shop. As she opened the front door, there, standing in line, was none other than Marcus! Both were surprised to see one another and exchanged awkward “hello’s” while Marcus finished his order and left... or so Jasmin thought! When she went to go get her drink, she heard "Hey Jasmin, why don't you join US for lunch?" Unexpectedly, she turned to meet Marcus and HIS DAD sitting enjoying their lunches. It was like God’s way of continuing the story from where they left off; it was time to meet the parents! They talked about her new job, how she grew up in Jersey, and about Marcus’s new place. After lunch they said their goodbyes, but neither could stop thinking of the oddity that had just happen to them. Wondering if this chance encounter was a "sign,” they started talking again and soon after Marcus asked Jasmin out on a date.
