My name is Kiana Brooks and I am Jasmin’s favorite sister. Just kidding. She loves us both equally of course. But undeniably, what I am is Jasmin’s biggest fan. Growing up I not only had a big sister in Jasmin, but I also had a role model and an unwavering support system. I’ll never forget the memories we shared growing up in a very unique form of organized chaos. There was never a dull moment between us and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Jasmin has always been a protector and a guiding force for me and I admire but do not envy the way she has always been able to take the first leap as the older sibling and pave the way for Nikki and I. And now she is doing it once more. She’s getting MARRIED! I cannot wait to see her enter this next phase of her life with Kevin, and will continuously be in awe of their journey. Jaz, you continue to inspire me with your research and studies and I have absolutely no doubt that you are going to change the world. But I think we are all in agreement in saying that you deserve a break from that to say your big ‘I do’. And I for one, am so blessed to help you down the aisle. My big sister. My North Star. Believe it or not I’ve actually known Kevin for my entire life. In that time, he has been a great brother and friend our whole lives. He’s a supportive leader who wants to see other succeed, and that translates to how he’s treated Jasmin in their relationship. It’s been amazing to see their excitement for each other (and all those vacation photos that made it look like they were already married..) and how quickly they’ve matured over time. Excited for all the good things the future holds, including this destination wedding!

Words can’t express how grateful I am to have met Jasmin… BUT if I had to pick one, “fate” is what comes to mind. From the way we came to be friends to all the shared experiences, laughter, lessons and personality, fate has to be the why! It feels as though our relationship has been longer than five years, every conversation and outing (although life makes seeing each other in person few and far in between, for now!) we find ourselves laughing, “NO WAY” we grew closer yet again! I don’t know who or where I would be without Jas, I love her so much and I’m so excited and grateful to be able to continue to support her through life’s many adventures, with one of the most exciting ones coming up… her and Kevin saying “I do”!

I first met Jasmin 10 years ago, during our sophomore year of high school. That year we began laughing endlessly, studying together, and spending more time with one another. Ever since, we have continued to make memories together. One fun memory I will never forget is when Jasmin and Sharod surprised me for my 24th birthday in New York, which meant a lot to me. Good friends are hard to come by, but I can always count on Jasmin to be there for me and celebrate me, which is why we have always continued to remain close. We have been there for each other through so many milestones in our lives, and we have created a special friendship over the years. In 2016, we decided to spend spring break together in Miami. On the last day of our trip, we decided to go to a track meet at the University of Miami, and the team happened to be competing against University of Michigan. This was such a special point in our friendship, to witness her rekindling with Kevin, who was previously a family friend and now the love of her life. Seeing Kevin and Jasmin grow with one another has been admirable to me. I am really excited to be able to witness them create this new beginning together, and can't wait to see the many memories we will all make together in the future! ❤

Have you ever met someone and realized that this is a brother you’ve always wanted.. Well, that’s the wizard for me! You have many opportunities to establish friendships but very rarely does that person become your family! There is nothing I haven’t seen him do exceedingly well and there isn’t anything I believe he can’t accomplish. Just like this next step he is about to take in his life. The joy I feel for these two is immeasurable. The love of two magical people can mesmerize the whole world and make you realize that everything is perfect as long as you have each other!

In just four short years you’ve become my soul sister, my shoulder to cry on, my go to for laughter and good times and you stood by my side for more big life moments than I could count. I first met Jasmin when I was about 4 years old. Our families set up playdates for the four of us: Jas, Kiki, Brandon and I. Back then we were always together. I couldn’t have predicted that 21 years later, we would still be friends. Jas is the kind of friend you keep for life. She has always gone out of her way to support and be there for me. I thank God for this friendship and sisterhood. Over the years we have laughed till we cried, danced freely, sung out of tune in the car and had therapy sessions that have led to watery eyes and much needed realizations. We have truly watched each other grow up and transform into the women we are today. I can’t even believe we are here now. I get to see my sister and bestfriend walk down the aisle to the love of her life. This is a moment we’ve dreamed of. I met Jasmin my junior (and her senior) year of college and now I can’t imagine my life without her. Although we were brought together by mutual friends we’ve found that it’s been so easy to fall into a friendship of our own. We are so alike in so many ways and yet still different: “my literal twin”. I’m so happy to have shared these years with her and continue to grow our relationship. What an honor! I’m ecstatic to be a part of this wedding, but even more proud to call Kevin a friend. He is there when you need a fresh perspective, support on your life’s journey and can even provide you with a good chuckle and two-step to get the party going. Since the beginning, I quickly found out that Kev is there when you need the ultimate frugal friend. Kev could make a $50 food budget last for three weeks just by eating microwaveable chicken tenders and beans. All this stomach pain so he could splurge when Jasmin, “Ms. Rice-A-Roni”, came into town. Or when Kev and I went to the grocery store right before lockdown and only bought a few canned goods, not realizing we’d need to survive for months. I’m fortunate that I get to share many memories with these two. Based on our experiences, I know Kevin will be an outstanding husband to Jasmin and provide their relationship with the care and support it needs to thrive. I’m ready to witness the union of these two beautiful spirits and watch as they continue to blossom!

Kevin has been my brother since day one. I remember seeing this skinny light skin nerd looking dude on the basketball court in 8th grade thinking he would be easy work but once we started scrimmaging I was like “oh this guy is nice”. That’s when I knew we could be cool lol. We instantly clicked, especially when I found out he was a gamer. Some of my best memories are with Kev, like when I used to go to his house and eat all his jolly ranchers and famous Amos then proceed to smack him and his brother Ju in 2K, smash brothers, or whatever game we played. Side note: The Stephens always had the best snacks so that was my second home. I love this guy to death and seeing him get married is like watching my son grow up. I’m so proud of Kev. I’m happy that he found a woman that truly makes him happy, and takes him out of his comfort zone. My boy is really growing up and I’m excited to welcome Jas into the family and see how they expand their own family.
