Our story began at our high school, Yes Prep. We knew of each other, but never spoke before senior year. A mutual friend brought us together, we got to know each other, and the rest is history. Alberto walked me to all my classes, and asked me to be his girlfriend on February 23, 2016, in front of my school bus. We spent high school going to watch each other’s volleyball and soccer games and cheering each other on. High school came to an end and without planning it, we both ended up at the University of Houston Downtown.

On May 20, 2023, Alberto took me to dinner and after created a mini scavenger hunt for me to do. He took me to Buffalo Bayou Park, and my first hint was a key. We went to the love lock bridge, created goals for ourselves and locked them in with our lock. After, I was led to the park where we sat and enjoyed the skyline view. After a while, I stood up with my back towards him and when I turned back around, he was on one knee! We are so excited to start our new journey together.
