Round about 8 years ago, I was managing the Jimmy John's in Faribault struggling to get good help when Kendall decided to get a sandwich for lunch. I was in the back trying to put a schedule together when I hear one of my employees yell "Jazzy, we got someone with experience looking for an application!" I proceeded to sprint to the register, only to be taken aback by the person asking for the application. I know it's cliche and a little cheesy but it really was "love at first sight" for me. I could barely look him in the eyes while we talked about what he was looking for in the job. I even had to have my assistant Andrew do the official interview and paperwork with him because I knew my butterflies would get the best of me. After a few months of working together, he finally asked to hang out outside of work, and we've been with each other almost every day since. Who knew what a sandwich could turn out to be. :)

When Kendall and I lived in Bloomington, we would go for walks around Normandale Lake, which has a beautiful bandshell that looks out onto the lake. I would always say how it would be the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding ceremony. On our 7th anniversary this year, it was a warm February day so Kendall suggested we go for a walk around Normandale Lake. As we're walking around the lake, we approach the bandshell, and as usual, I went up on the stage to mention how great of a spot it would be. I was looking out onto the lake, daydreaming of the two of us getting married one day; when I turned around and he was down on one knee! The tears started flowing and I of course said Yes! Even though we won't actually be using that bandshell for our ceremony, it will always hold a special place in our hearts. We can't wait to start this next chapter of our lives together!

Kendall and I plan to have a small ceremony at the Ramsey County Courthouse on Tuesday the 22nd of February. We are just having our immediate family members attend this, but we are super excited to celebrate the commemoration of our love with all of you on Friday the 25th! We hope you are able to join us! We'll have all the food, booze, and bad dance moves for everyone to enjoy! ;)
