This depends on what you want to do while you're here. It's always warm but March can often be a rainy time of the year so it might be a good idea to bring a rain jacket for activities throughout the week. If you're planning to hike make sure to bring tennis shoes (waterfall hikes can be slippery and there's a good chance you'll loose a sandal). The number one thing to have for visit to Hawaii is SUNSCREEN; we don't want to see any of our guest turn into rock lobsters while they're here!
Welcome Party Attire: Aloha Bright prints! A sundress, button down shirt, polo, aloha shirt, or blouse with a skirt, shorts or pants and slippers (sandals) or flats. Wedding Attire: Upscale Aloha Since our ceremony and reception are outdoors in a large grassy space, we recommend Upscale Aloha or less formal cocktail attire (A cocktail dress, evening maxi dress, nicer button down, blouse, or aloha shirt with slacks or khakis and nice sneakers/shoes, nice sandals, or heels). Although we’ve done our best to keep guests in the shade, it will still be warm so plan accordingly! To avoid shoe mishaps with the lawn, thick heels are recommended for anyone planning on working it in pumps.
We love your kiddos but want you to have a few nights off to let your hair down at the welcome party and weddings so adults only please! Recovery Day is a family day! We'd love to see all your little ones.
The Hilton has complimentary childcare for kids ages 3-12 and a day camp called "Camp Penguin" for kids 5 -12. We're also hoping we'll have a few baby sitters we can refer you to; stay tuned!
Please plan to arrive by 3:45pm; it is a bit of a walk through a flat, grassy area to get to the ceremony site but you'll be rewarded with pre-celebration drink :)
Due to budget and space limitations, we simply can’t afford for all of our amazing guests to bring a guest of their own. Unless specifically named on your invitation, we request our guests to please not bring a plus one. Thank you so much for understanding!
If you know us, you know we like a little friendly competition! We have a few games planned throughout the weekend but the most important one YOU need to know about are our Wedding Day Prop Bets. In sports, a prop bet is wager based on how a certain player will perform and can be almost anything from how many points they'll score to what color their shoe laces will be. Often prop bets incorporate a total number with an over and under as the wager. Our friend Regina as humbly offered to be our bookie for the weekend and is helping us coordinate our wedding day wagers. More info to come before game, er, wedding day!
