I (Jasmine) had just wrapped up my first full week living in Birmingham. The move had been a little daunting, and so I was looking for (God's) love in all the right places - church ;) I arrived fashionably buzzer beater, so Nat and I met about 30 seconds before service started. As he was walking into the service, he turned around and said, "Hey! I want to talk to you more after church." I remember thinking to myself, "you can talk to me the rest of your life if you want to!" Turns out he does ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We have always loved celebrating other people, and thankfully, we're some of each other's favorite people to celebrate! So when he told me to take the day off for my 30th birthday, I didn't think anything of it - even when I found out it was for a day trip to Chicago. He told me the itinerary on the way there: First, breakfast at my favorite pancake spot in the world, then maybe a couple touristy spots we loved, with a few presents trickled in throughout the day. Little did I know that when he asked, "Are you ready for your first present?", it would be all the present I could ever dream of. I was a happy, sobbing, shocked ball of tears long before he turned me around to the sight of some of our dearest friends, including my best pal all the way from Dallas. I have absolutely zero recollection of any words coming out of my mouth after he got down on one knee, but he swears I said "yes", so I believe him :) If i didn't then, I do now and will every day for the rest of our lives. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Cincy!
