A beautiful (not entirely accurate) story about love in preclownculus. Destry was visiting the Clown College that Jas attended. His tour stopped by a pre-clown-culus class to observe when he saw the most beautiful girl studying hard. He stopped the lesson and approached her, his hair waving in the wind of a comically large fan. Right then and there he proclaimed that he loved her. They have been together ever since.

The more truthful version of the story is that Jas sat at the front of their pre-calculus class in high school. She never paid much attention because she really didn't need to. However, at the back of the class attracting everyone's attention was Destry and his best friend Trent. They also didn't pay attention because they didn't really need to. The two at the back were loud and most of all annoying. Jas thought Destry was quite possibly the most annoying person on the entire planet. Her distaste for his antics grew deeper when he "borrowed" the battery cover on her expensive calculator and never returned it. To. This. Day. he claims that he never did such a thing. Destry and Jas had a couple of mutual friends and Destry's personality grew on Jas. They dated for a summer and promptly broke up at the beginning of the school year.

Jas went to take classes at the college in her senior year. She took pre-calculus because that was all state would pay for as she was still a high school student but this time it was for college credit. She returned to Palisade for the homecoming parade and saw a dashing man with dark hair covering his eyes. He intrigued her and she asked her friends who he was. To her bewilderment, it was Destry. She all of a sudden found more excuses to show up to the high school. She pursued him romantically for three months before, on May 18th, 2011, he said yes to dating her. Six and a half years later, he finally asked her to marry him in front of the polar bears at the Denver Zoo. On their 8 year anniversary they will be married and start a new adventure.
