I owe all the glory to God for leading me to find Verdonna. Back in May of 2018, I decided to set up a Christian Mingle profile. After logging on for the first time I came across Verdonna's profile. I didn't reach out to her for a few days though. After going back and forth about reaching out to her I finally did it. I looked her up on FB and sent her a long message explaining my interest in her. After a day she responded explaining she needed to pray before responding to me. I felt a strong connection with her from her first initial text back. We went back and forth talking and just getting to know each other for about two days. Finally, I asked her would she mind if I could come over to Bloomington to attend church with her. She was excited and said yes! We met that Sunday morning at church for the first time! She was so beautiful to me. I felt a strong connection with her at first sight, I knew she was the one. We went in to worship and service was great! After the service, we met at Famous Daves for lunch. Our conversation was so rich that we sat there for five hours! We finally ended our date. Neither one of us wanted it to end though. We hugged each other and I kissed her on the cheek. I will honestly say that I fell in love with her from that day forward.

May 23rd I got a message on Facebook messenger from Jarvis stating he saw my profile on Christian Mingle and he was very interested. After I read the message, I didn’t respond. The next morning I woke up praying and talking to God getting ready for work. While looking at Jarvis’ fb page, I noticed he was from Danville. One of my close friends/co-workers used to live in Danville so I asked her did she know him. She said yes, and had nothing but great things to say about him. May 24th I messaged Jarvis back, and from there we talked nonstop for about two days through messenger. Jarvis sent me a picture of his purity ring I had made the same vow nine months ago. He asked me what church I attended and could he come. Sunday morning came, I was so nervous. When he pulled up and got out of the truck, he gave me the biggest hug and he smelled so good! Church was amazing and it felt right being there with him. At that moment it felt so right but I still had to make sure it was all God. After service was over we went to Famous Dave’s. We talked about everything for five hours, I asked him “Where do you see yourself in the next five years? He said, “In the next five years I see myself with you”. Then he went on to tell me about what he was experiencing while we were in church and he began to cry, he said in church when he was worshipping, he felt like that was where he belonged, right there next to me. I couldn’t believe it, finally everything that I had been praying for was right in front of me. Little did he know I had fallen in love with him on our first date. He texted me and said can you call me before you go to bed I just want to pray with you! Before I went to bed, I called him and this man prayed for my children as if they were his own. That was my confirmation that he was sent to be my covering and protector for me and my babies. That’s when we started this love journey and I love every minute of it!
