Our story actually starts about 16 years ago, We we’re both in middle school, and met thru a mutual friend. We instantly connected and were pretty much best friends for a few years. We would talk about everything from our day, to laughing and joking to even our current relationships at that time. I remember one day not long after we met Jarvis randomly saying I love you, and my reply was “you don’t even know me!” And he said “I’m going to make you my wife one day.” I didn’t pay it much attention then just laughed it off. Fast forward a few years later, in high school at this time, I remember walking home after getting off the bus and I was having a rough day and once again, Jarvis, was there giving me a pep talk, that turned into him telling me all of his feelings and how he felt about me. This time he did know me, better than any one else, so I gave him a chance. From there we were inseparable until I moved to Warner Robins in 2011. Between 2011-2018 it turned into an on again off again situation, we both had growing and learning to do but we always stayed in contact. Fast forward to early 2019 we both found ourselves single at the time and decided to give it a chance at a serious adult relationship. We already knew each other so we just started spending more time together and traveling. At the end of 2019 unfortunately Jarvis lost his house to a house fire and at the time I was living with my parents. After that my parents reached out to Jarvis and offered for him to move in so he could get on his feet again. After about a year we moved out to our first apartment together in Feb 2021. Then one random day in May 2023 we decided to ride up to Atlanta for a quick getaway. We got out and checked out the area we were staying in and happened to find a mall. So we went in, starting walking around, going to different stores until we find this one jewelry store and it had a big sale sign out front. So of course I said please can we just look?! So we went in and checked out what all they had and I found a ring that I loved so much. Jarvis looked at me and said if it’s the one go ahead and get it. I was shocked, happy and excited all at the same time. So after making the purchase we left, went back to our hotel, changed clothes and went out to celebrate our engagement! And now, planning our Dream Beach Wedding! Our journey was not a typical one and we took risks and put faith in us and our future together and it led us to Forever!💜
