Question

How long is the ceremony?

Answer

Whew! This is a long one! As this is a interfaith ceremony, it will have two parts. The Hindu Ceremony will last for 1.5 hours and the Christian ceremony will last 30 minutes. There will be an hour intermission/cocktail hour.

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

Hot and Humid! Please dress accordingly, bring sunscreen if necessary and anything that may help you feel cooler. The ceremony will be under a tent while the gardens will be open for guests to access.

Is the ceremony outside?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony will be outside under a tented area. We are doing our very best to keep our guests cool, however guests should dress accordingly.

What do I wear?

Answer

The dress code is summer formal. As mentioned earlier, we want our guests to stay comfortable and beat the heat!

Where are we registered?

Answer

We are registered at amazon. You can click the link under the registry tab or find our registry under Harini Saravanan and Jarvis Harrison.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be for adults and children above the age of 10 only so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Please make sure your number on your RSVP includes your children.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

As much as we would love to celebrate with those close to you, we do have a strict guest list. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate the number listed on your invitation.

Where should I park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free! The Lace House has limited on site parking reserved for vendors however, ample parking is available on surrounding streets. Please keep in mind your hotel may be close to the venue and a walkable distance

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head back into the house where cocktails will be served and make their way to the other side of the mansion mall where the reception will be held.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

The Marriott located in Downtown Columbia and The Sheraton also located in Downtown Columbia are the closest hotels to the venue and are accessible by walking. We have a hotel block for the Marriott and there are a limited number of rooms available with a discounted rate. To access the group rate, please visit the travel page and click the direct link.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is March 22, 2020. RSVP's can be done by mail, online or over the phone.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are there veg/non-veg food options?

Answer

There will be both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food options. Please let us know which one you would prefer when you RSVP

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #jarvisandharini so we can see them too!
