If you're in to architecture, check out the plaza- home to the NYS Capital and governing buildings. Get a sweeping panoramic view of Albany at the top floor of Corning Tower, or make your way down state street for great views of the SUNY building. Get a feel for downtown Albany!
Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site
If you're a history buff, you're in the right place! Tons of well-known historical families lived in Albany and their residences have been restored and turned into historical sites. If you love the Schuyler mansion, check out the Ten Broeck Mansion too!

This is where we went on our first date, and where we got engaged! The views are incredible.
June Farms
One of our favorite places- a peaceful farm, 20 minutes outside of Albany. A nonprofit sanctuary for heritage breed farm animals- the highland cows are a must see! Check their Calendar page for ticketed events, or enjoy a self guided "daily walk" through the farm.
Saratoga Springs
If you're not too tired of traveling, take the 45 minute trip up to Saratoga Springs for a day of history, horse races, shopping, and amazing eats!
Lake George
Another day trip, about 45 minutes outside of Albany- visit the cleanest lake in the United States! A quaint little lake town with shopping, arcades, and the most gorgeous views.
