Lightning (and an entire quiver of cupid's arrows) struck when they met at a dinner party with Jarrod's cousin, Andre, in December of 2010. But let's take it back a second. They had actually met two years earlier at a New Year's eve party at Andre's house. Jarrod and Rose struck a chord at that party with joking, banter, and some playful wrestling. Jarrod remembers vividly looking at Rose and her then partner and thinking, "I want to have what they have someday." Little did he know that he didn't want "what they have," he specifically wanted Rose. Fast forward to the dinner party in 2010: Rose remembers a loud and brash boy at the other end of the table who exuded confidence, and she just had to see what he was all about. They hit it off again, and Rose pursued Jarrod with the will and determination of a hunter stalking her prey. Jarrod proved fair game as the two of them embarked on a fast and furious courtship with days on end of texting and many nights over the next month in her loft apartment, drinking wine, playing cards, and sharing all of their secrets and learning each other's life story. This was a fairy tale romance that took off like a rocket ship, and they knew right then, in the beginning, that they were made for one another.
