We are getting married!

We first crossed paths thanks to a mutual acquaintance - proof that some times the best people enter your life when you're not looking for them. At the time, Jarrod confidently told the acquaintance that I "wasn't his type". (A statement that he now lovingly regrets.) But after a couple times of mentioning the idea to him he reached out anyway and everything changed. Our first date was low-key and perfect: goofy competition, lots of laughter, and a surprisingly intense round of putt-putt. He is still in denial over that loss. One date turned into two, then three and before we knew it, we had created a rhythm together - one filled with easy and also deep conversations, fun adventures, and the kind of comfort that feels like home. Life took us on an adventure when we accepted a travel therapy contract together in Vermont. Between exploring mountain towns, trying new foods and activities, we realized we were creating some of our favorite memories. It was there, surrounded by the quiet beauty of Vermont, that he asked the question that brought us to where we are now. Now we're back home, planning a wedding, starting a family and writing the next chapter of our story - one that began with "not my type" and turned into a forever kind of love.
