Our Love Story

First came music, then came love

We met at the good ole Lazy Dog on Pearl Street back when they still had the Tuesday night open jams. Both freshly heartbroken and ready to party. I (Jordan) was standing at the bar and Jarrod made his way over to me. After finding out that I was a nanny and had played music my whole life, his pick line was, "Well... I teach music... to kids." Both of our phones were dead, and so he gave me his business card. In my completely sober state *insert sarcasm* I put it in my shoe, because I would have to take my shoe off at some point and there is no way I would lose it... wrong. I lost the card and had no way of getting in contact with this great guy. Two weeks later, I was at a bar called Tahona that had an open window and he saw me from across the street. Without hesitiation, he b-lined it to me and asked a few times (try a million times) if I was single, to which I responded "painfully so" and his reply without fail was "no way you're single." After going around that merry go round a few times, he said, "I'm going to kiss you." And he did. The rest is pretty much history. While I didn't make it easy on him, the line that won me over was, "You don't have to date me but you have to play music with me." Our story has not been easy or conventional in any way, but the last 5 years have been filled with so much love, laughter, and music that we cannot wait to share with you all on our special day and all of the days to come.
