Welcome to our wedding website. Yep, it’s finally happening! We’ve created this website to help you plan for our big day. You can find all of the need-to-know details right here, including directions to our venue, travel tips, registry information and a little bit about our love story so far. We can’t wait to see you there, and wanted to say a huge thanks for your love and well wishes! Love, Jarrid and Lindsay xo
We started the morning with a 45 minute bus ride out of Florence through the Tuscany countryside to a small town called Greve in the Chianti region. Once there, we met a wonderful couple, Michelle and Lief who were our tour guides for the day. Michelle and Lief own a bike tour business so they took us to the local bike shop to be fitted into our bikes and we were off! As we rode our electric bikes through the Italian landscape we saw backdrops that you would find in the movies. We wound around the curvy country roads and ended up on top of a hill in a tiny little village called Panzano. We pulled over to take a break from the climb and we came upon a beautiful church overlooking the vineyards. Little did I know, Lorraine had the engagement ring tucked away inside a beanie which she was carrying around waiting for Jarrid to tell her "when". At one point she even set the beanie down on a small wall right next to me! I was completely clueless. Jarrid had come up with a story about wanting to take a specific picture for Instagram that had to do with me facing backwards and Photoshop (it makes no sense when I try to explain it) but the story worked on me. Before we could take this picture, Jarrid had to practically beg me to take off the BRIGHT GREEN bike helmet**. I didn't want to take a picture with helmet hair. But after a few minutes of persuasion I finally took the helmet off. Good thing I did, because after we took the picture, Lee handed me the cell phone to ask if I liked the picture and there was Jarrid holding a ring box!! Too say I was surprised would be an understatement. I couldn't speak or cry or anything! Pure joy and excitement. We spent the rest of the evening wine tasting, eating, taking a private cooking class at a family owned Pizzeria in town and celebrating with the staff as they popped (many) bottles of champagne! It was a day that I know we will never forget.
