In January of 2022 Lauren’s brother-in-law, Isaiah, told her he had a really great guy that he worked with that he wanted her to talk to. Lauren was skeptical but she gave the boy a chance and went on a date with him. Two weeks later, Jarrett told Lauren that he was going to be the guy she married… turns out he was right!

Over the summer, Jarrett and Lauren worked on designing her dream ring and picking out a diamond. Lauren knew the proposal was coming in the fall but she wasn’t sure exactly when it would happen. On the night before Halloween while carving pumpkins, Jarrett planned to propose. While Lauren went to the bathroom, everyone came inside and Jarrett stayed on the porch waiting to “put candles in the pumpkins.” Lauren opened her pumpkin to find a ring box inside and Jarrett on one knee behind her. It was the best day of their lives thus far!
