Jarrett and Kelly first met in 2020 through mutual friends at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. Jarrett thought Kelly was the prettiest and coolest girl he'd ever seen, but ultimately their story was one that could only be written with God's timing. They spent 4 years without seeing or speaking to each other until November 2nd 2024. Kelly ran into Jarrett's longtime best friend, also named Kelly, and she thought it would be fun to FaceTime Jarrett off of his phone. Jarrett was in shock when he answered that call, because over the years he had often referred to her as "the one that got away." After attending a few church services together for their first few dates, they met for a drink at Armadillo Den, and then continued to see each other as much as their jobs and distance from Spicewood to South Austin allowed. On August 6th 2025, Kelly told Jarrett she loved him and he thought "Wow no big deal just the prettiest girl in the world loves me". He then told her he loved her too and always had. On May 16, 2026, Jarrett asked Kelly to marry him on the back porch of their new home in Dripping Springs. As the sun set on their first night there with the help of their two perfect golden retrievers, Mia and Nala, Kelly said yes! They are so excited to celebrate the beginning of their marriage on Friday October 23, 2026, with all of their family and friends, in the presence of God.
