Jarod's POV Our story started when we met in Kentucky during a trip. Victoria and her family were visiting my best friend Esteban. For those who does not know who Esteban is, he is Victoria's older brother. Esteban invited me to meet his family that day. Little did I know, that the moment I walked through that door, everything would change. I arrived to the house and walked inside introducing myself and greeting everyone. As I made my way around the room, I finally stopped at Victoria. We locked eyes and I knew there was a spark just waiting to ignite. The day continued on with us chatting about our lives and learning more about each other, throwing cute jokes into the mix causing us to debate. I will never forget when I said regular chocolate chips were better than mini, Victoria immediately was shocked and could not let that statement go. She continued to try to convince me otherwise while I laughed about how her cookies did not look normal. As the night went on we continued to go back and forth smiling and laughing at the moments we were creating. Especially, when I decided to let Esteban tattoo me, all she could do was comment to her brother that it didn’t look good. Afterwards, she decided to put on Bachata because she didn’t believe I could dance, but these hips don’t lie. So we danced for the rest of the night while trying to take it seriously but were unable to. I can remember that day so vividly and I continue to hold that memory dear to me, now here I am about to marry the woman I love. *I promise to take care and love you forever Victoria! Victoria's POV My family planned a trip to Kentucky to visit my brother and his family. I met Jarod who was invited to my brother's house. As he introduced himself, I immediately knew he was the most handsome guy I have ever met. Unexpectedly, I found myself smiling with butterflies in my stomach after every glance we gave each other. In the mist of my brother giving Jarod a tattoo, I made cookies from a recipe I wanted to try. Although, I thought it turned out amazing, he did not think the same and commented was, "why do they look like that?". Insinuating that they had a weird shape...he continued to complain, but later found out that he ate them all when he got home. From that point we bickered on and on that night about what size of chocolate chips were the best or why he danced like the balloons outside of a car dealership. Looking back at it, we were 100% flirting. The next morning as I am in the car heading back to Ohio, I found myself thinking about him a lot and decided to reach out to see if I could get his number from my sister-in-law. From that point on, we have come a long way. Our journey is nothing of the ordinary and completely unexpected, but we have built something beautiful. I am so lucky to be marrying my best friend, my support person, and my future husband. I love you!
