What should you do before you leave for Punta Cana?

*Don't forget to bring your passport. *Download the free AMR Collection app and choose your hotel (Dreams Onyx or Breathless). There is a lot of information including: resort maps, restaurants/bars, activities, housekeeping, spa, excursions, etc. *Inform your bank of your travel plans so there are no issues with debit card/credit card use. *Avoid unexpected cell phone charges by informing cell phone provider of travel plans. Also, download the WhatsApp app on our phone. WhatsApp is a messaging app that will allow you to text/call others using WI FI. (The resort has free Wi Fi for guests) Please be sure to turn off cellular data and roaming to be sure you don't incur any unexpected phone charges from your phone company. *It is customary to tip various services such as bellhops, so bring small bills. US dollars are accepted.

How do I get to the Dreams Punta Cana Resort from the Punta Cana airport?

Answer

If you arranged your travel through our travel agent, Latrise Hunter of LH Fun Travel, then the transportation from the airport to the resort should be included in your travel package. If you arranged travel through another means, please be sure to arrange transportation to the resort. The resort is located approximately 35 minutes away from the airport.

Where and when is the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

WEDDING DAY DETAILS *The Wedding ceremony will take place on Sky Terrace/Rooftop Wedding Gazebo (Breathless Resort) @ 3 pm on Friday, October 7th. *Cocktail hour/Reception will immediately follow on the beach from 4pm – 8 pm. We are expecting warm weather so please dress accordingly. That includes shoes for the beach reception. *Transportation – shuttle will leave the Dreams Onyx lobby at 2:30 pm. Shuttle can also take guests back to room upon request after reception *Resort maps are available on AMR Collections app.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The wedding ceremony, and cocktail hour, and reception will be outdoors. Please dress for warm weather. The cocktail hour and the reception will be on the beach, so please wear shoes that can be worn in the sand. Suggestions for ladies - Sundress/maxi dresses, linen dresses, linen pants, breathable dressy pantsuits, sun visors/straw hats, etc. Suggestions for men - linen pants or dress pants paired with short sleeve dress shirt, sun visors/hats, no jackets Please do not wear bathing suits, jeans, or activewear to the wedding.

Is dancing expected at the reception?

Answer

Yes, anyone not dancing will be immediately removed from future party invite lists. :-)

Answer

Yes, we are registered at Zola and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Please see the Registry tab for additional information.

Does the resort offer steaming services for my dresses/suits?

Answer

Yes, the resort will steam clothes for a nominal fee. Please review the laundry request card in your room for specifics, or look at the laundry tab within the resort's app. If you would like to request steaming services, please submit your order on the day of your arrival. You can direct further questions to the resort's guest services.
