Jari and Joshua first met in 2017 while studying political science at New Mexico State University. They bonded quickly after discovering they were both fans of a little known rock band–a coincidence that became the foundation of a genuine friendship. As their friendship grew, so did their shared ambitions. Both aspiring attorneys, Jari and Josh spent countless hours studying together, swapping notes, and dreaming about their futures in law. It wasn’t long before friendship turned into something deeper. Their story took on new challenges when Josh left New Mexico and each attended separate law schools. Long-distance life was difficult, but it only made their commitment stronger. Weekend visits, video calls, and watching movies together on Discord kept them connected through the chaos of casebooks and exams. Along the way, they’ve adopted two cats, Nori and Winslow, who quickly became beloved members of their little family. Josh also introduced Jari to running, which began as a hobby and soon became a shared passion. Today, it’s not unusual to find them planning their next race, shoe shopping, or convincing their friends to join in. More than anything, Jari and Josh love experiencing life together, whether they’re curled up with their cats watching a movie, helping one another with the stress of lawyering, or off exploring new places.
