Question
When is the wedding?
Answer
You may have heard that our wedding would be on September 6th, 2025. That was true! In our marriage prep, we agreed to postpone the wedding date so that we can take more time to prepare for our Sacrament. We take our marriage and love seriously, so we are so blessed to have this extra time to grow and have the ability to give each other and God our fullest YES! Our new wedding date is Saturday, November 15th, 2025!

Can I come to the ceremony if I'm not Catholic?
Answer
Absolutely! All are welcome to join us and witness Allison's and Jarett's love for the Catholic faith. This is the center of the day and driving force of their future life together, so they would love everyone to be able to witness the ceremony.

Can I receive Holy Communion?
Answer
As Catholics, we believe that when we receive the Eucharist, we consume the actual Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ as shown in John 6. Those who are not Catholic are invited to step forward with arms crossed for a blessing, or simply to remain seated. For Catholics in the state of grace, we invite you to approach the rail and receive the Eucharist on the tongue while kneeling.

Will the wedding be in a church?
Answer
Jarett and Allison will be married in Allison's childhood parish, St. Bernard Catholic in New Washington, Ohio. The wedding will take place in the context of a Nuptial Mass. Holy Mass will be a Latin Novus Ordo. Not Catholic or new to the universal language of the Catholic Church? We recommend simply noticing what engages your senses, letting all the beautiful sounds, smells, and sights show you that Christ is truly present! For those who would like to follow along with the prayers, worship aid booklets will be available containing the Latin and English translations side-by-side.

What Should I Wear?
Answer
We want all of our guests to be comfortable! Semi-formal attire, preferably shoulders and knees covered. Please keep in mind that the wedding ceremony will be held in a Catholic Church before Holy Mass, and because we want to reverence Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, we ask that all please dress respectfully and modestly. We would love to see cowboy hats and/or boots for the reception!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Due to our changed wedding date and location, we wanted to still make use of our original wedding reception venue at Old Millstream Centre in Findlay, Ohio. We decided to make use of the space to host a square dance with a live band on Friday, November 14th, 2025 from 6:00-9:00pm. All are welcome to attend! We will have light snacks, and please bring your own drinks! During the reception the next day, we will have some time designated for square dancing, too. These will be beginner dances and we will have a few moments to teach those who are new. Please join us on the dance floor!

Can I use my phone to take pictures?
Answer
We have professional photographers aiding us in capturing every moment, so please take this opportunity to detach and become fully present at the ceremony. We welcome pictures at the reception. Please share your favorites with us!
Question
Will the wedding and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Both the Wedding Mass and the Reception will be indoors.
