We're getting married!

Julia and Jared met in August of 2018, shortly after Julia moved to the Fort Lauderdale area to pursue her doctoral degree, at which time Jared had already been living in Fort Lauderdale for a year. They immediately hit it off during their first conversation, when they discovered shared roots from the northeast (Jared being from New Jersey and Julia being from the Bronx). The initial connection was established, and Julia and Jared began spending time together, often seeing each other at social gatherings hosted by mutual friends. Given that both of them were pursuing their doctoral degrees, they agreed that their studies were priority. However, after several months of conversing and spending more time with each other, an undeniable connection grew, and by November of the same year, they agreed to enter a committed relationship. Not only did their connection continue to grow over the next several years, but they found new joy in debating prominent psychological controversies and often bounced ideas off each other in service of bettering themselves as emerging professionals. They frequented movies, the beach, and some of their favorite South Florida food spots. Their relationship flourished, and over the years, true connection and love sprouted. In mid-2021, they moved to the Tampa Bay area together, as Jared was pursuing his doctoral internship, and Julia a practicum at Tampa General Hospital. This brings their relationship to present day, just engaged on July 2nd of 2022. They enjoy playing board games, watching documentaries on Netflix, cooking, and playing golf. To this day, Jared claims he has the best-looking technique off the tee, yet Julia insists she has the most knowledge of brain anatomy (both of which are still under debate).
