Our Story

Ever heard of the Invisible String Theory?

Jared grew up in Minford, I grew up in Wheelersburg. We were both raised in church, knew the same people, and were often in the same rooms without knowing- yet, we didn't meet until 2022! After a slight career course correction, Jared ended up working at Wheelersburg Schools as a substitute teacher. It's no doubt in my mind that God's change of plans for Jared landed him at Wheelersburg for a purpose! During that time, I was completing my teaching degree and also began subbing at Wheelersburg Schools. As you can predict, we eventually met while working there! I would often "just so happen" to walk by the room he was in, and a coworker of mine "just so happened" to need his number (spoiler: the coworker was me). We often had conversations about many things; his schooling, my niece and nephews, his coaching career, etc. We often spoke about challenges we were facing and spent time encouraging each other to be the best versions of ourselves. We spent about a year as a friends, genuinely getting to know each other, knowing there was something drawing us closer. Almost a year after meeting on February 17th, 2023, we finally spent exclusive time together outside of work. It didn't take long for us to realize we loved being in each others' presence and I vividly remember telling my mom on the way home, "Mark my words, I'm going to marry Jared Alley". A month later we started officially dating, and less than a year later, we were engaged! Over the past year and some months, we have come to realize that God had strategically kept us apart until it was time for us to become one. We were always connected by an invisible string, yet we weren’t pulled together until the perfect moment. We spent many years praying for one another without knowing each other’s name! We also prayed for some things that would have kept us from ever meeting, and we are now praising Him for the unanswered prayers, too. Our testimony is one of our favorites, and we pray that our relationship together as a married couple continues to glorify God as we live our lives according to His will.
