July 1st, 2025 - but the sooner the better!
To travel to Italy, you need a valid passport that is valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure date. The ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) is not yet live and is now expected to begin sometime in 2026. This follows the launch of the Entry/Exit System (EES), which is planned for late 2025 - and requires no action by travelers pre-trip. The ETIAS will become operational six months after the EES is in place. Although it should now not impact travel in 2025, for your information: as of 2026, American citizens traveling to Italy will not need a traditional visa, but will instead require an online travel authorization called ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) to enter the country; this essentially acts as a pre-screening process before travel, which you will need to apply for before a trip to the EU. We will notify guests once if any of these guidelines or timelines change and may impact their travels. The ETIAS application process requires an application fee of 7 (EUR) euros. Payment is required to complete the application process. ETIAS will only accept electronic payments from your debit or credit card. Yes. There will be transportation to and from the hotel block for all wedding events. We will also have a shuttle that will run from a central location near the Rome international airport (FCO) on the day of the welcome party, Thursday October 9th and leaving on Sunday, October 12th to head back to the Rome area. This shuttle will stop at both the hotel block, Rocca D'Orcia Hotel, Locanda and at the Venue, Borgo di Castelvecchio.
Dress code can be found on the Schedule tab on this site. Dress code varies by event. Please Keep in mind that all of the wedding events will be hosted outside, weather permitting. The property is also in the hills of Tuscany, so please keep in mind that there are some gradual hills. We will have a golf cart to accommodate anyone who needs a lift! Please avoid stiletto heels or anything that may be difficult to walk on grass, cobblestone or gravel. Wedges, block heels or flats are ideal.
Yes, there will be parking at the location of all wedding events. As the venue is in the country side in a remote location, please plan to rent a car or book a private taxi in advance if you choose not to rent a car. Uber is NOT available in Tuscany. Please note, if you are staying in one of our hotel blocks we will have a shuttle running to and from all wedding events.
Absolutely. Please let us know via the RSVP page on this site. If you have a special concern, please reach out to Sydney or Jared.
We are registered through Zola, and you can find our registry on this site. As we hope you choose to join us in Italy to celebrate, we certainly do not expect any gifts, but for those who have asked we have picked out some items for our new home.
Kids are welcome, please check your RSVP for more information.
We will host a welcome party on October 9th, 2025 and a day-after BBQ on October 11th, 2025. Please see the "Schedule" tab for more information.
