FAQs

Question

Is there a reception?

Answer

We are not holding a traditional reception at this time, but we hope to be able to gather later on. In the meantime, we want everyone to celebrate with us by signing our guestbook and watching a live video stream the evening of the 29th. You can find both of these on the “schedule” tab.

Question

I want to send a card! What's your mailing address?

Answer

We just moved into an apartment on UCSD campus! #4716 4067 Miramar Street La Jolla, CA 92092

Question

What does it mean to be married, or sealed, in the temple?

Answer

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we believe that marriage is meant to last beyond “til death do us part”. Being married in the temple means that the marriage is sealed, or made permanent, for eternity. Due to the sacred nature of temples, only certain members of the church may enter. You can learn more about temple weddings, including pictures of the inside, in this youtube video: https://youtu.be/gA6aTiMDYho

Question

Are Jared and Sarah getting sealed on August 29th?

Answer

While the temple had previously opened, we were recently informed that our sealing appointment was cancelled due to the pandemic. We will have a civil marriage ceremony on the live stream at 5pm. We will then be sealed at a later date.
