Jared and I met in college at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska our sophomore year. His friend Tanner Wauhob introduced us at the sand volleyball courts. But I didn't think much of it, the more we started hanging out in our friend group the more this blue eyed, non-stop smiling guy seemed to grow on me. Jared likes to say that on our first date when we both ordered chicken strips he knew I was the one! When you know, you know so here we are 3 years later and ready to start our forever!

A quick trip home lead to a scavenger hunt that I thought was for my birthday. It lead me around Holyoke to find clues to get me to the end destination of homesteaders park at the pond. At the time, I thought Jared was in Omaha, Nebraska watching his younger sister play basketball. As I got to the pond there was a pink box by the tree. I opened it up and there was a stuffed animal inside that told me we would be getting a puppy in just a couple of months. Then there was a bundle of notes that Jared has written for me throughout the years. Apparently, he has been thinking about this moment for a long time because the beginning of each letter was circled spelling out "Will you marry me?" I then was told to turn around and there was Jared on a knee and me in tears. Of course, I said yes and the celebrating and planning began!
