Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Meagan Schneiderman and Jared Edgerton
Below are some fun things to see or do in Columbus if it's your first time in the area! There is a lot to explore but here are some of our top recommendations.

Short North

Columbus, OH

A fun district in Columbus with a ton of restaurants, bars, galleries, and shops! Be sure to check out Jeni's Ice Cream while you're there if it's warm enough (or even if it's not).

The Book Loft of German Village

631 South 3rd Street, Columbus, OH 43206
, (614) 464-1774

One of our favorite places in Columbus - a 32 room bookstore, which you will love if you are a fellow bookworm! You can also stop by Stauf's Coffee or Pistacio Vera for a treat next door while you're in the area. German Village, the neighborhood where it is located, is also a beautiful, scenic area to walk around and explore.

Columbus Museum of Art

480 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215
, (614) 221-6801

A beautiful museum downtown which is definitely worth a visit! There are always interesting exhibits to see as well as a small sculpture garden for outside enjoyment.

COSI

333 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215
, (614) 228-2674

A fun, hands-on science center which is a great option for those of you bringing kiddos with you to Columbus!

Easton Town Center

160 Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH 43219
, (614) 337-2200

If you love to shop, look no further than Easton. This indoor/outdoor shopping complex has pretty much every store you can think of and more.

Highbanks Metro Park

9466 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH 43035
, (614) 906-3149

Columbus has some beautiful hiking trails in their Metro Park system. Highbanks is a great place to spend some time with nature and has a range of easy to difficult paths to explore! It is also conveniently located near the Nationwide hotel.

The Ohio State University

Columbus, OH 43210
, (614) 292-6446

OSU has a huge campus that is fun to visit if you've never been there before. You can see where Jared spends many hours of the day as a graduate student (Derby Hall), take a stroll around the Oval where you'll find many students relaxing in between classes, or stop by the Ohio State Stadium to see where the Buckeyes play. We also recommend grabbing a donut near campus at Buckeye Donuts while you're there. Warning: there is a home game during our wedding weekend so it may be challenging to get to/from campus if you go on game day!
