we're getting married!

In school, student's were often organized in alphabetical order. Goeke and Green being pretty close, we spent a lot of time together. We met in the fifth grade through mutual friends and became closer in the sixth grade when our assigned lockers were right next to each other. In the eighth grade, we sat together in a study hall class, where we really got to know one another. As the years went on, our friendship grew and changed and constantly evolved until we graduated high school in 2019. It wasn't until we left for college that the distance made us realize just how close we had become. We started dating on May 8, 2020, and have been nothing short of blessed ever since.

On our anniversary, we spent the day enjoying our time at home, until it was time to get ready for dinner. I, Maddy, was completely surprised when he brought me to a friend's property for an amazing homemade dinner. Once we finished eating, he lead me outside to a beautiful gazebo overlooking the gorgeous hillside where we talked for a while about how amazing our future will be because we knew we had each other. (At this point, I could tell what was about to happen!) I turned around to see him on one knee, and well, my answer was a resounding "Of course!". We finished the night with a lovely photoshoot to capture the moment that lasted until the sunset.
