FAQs

Question

Is proof of vaccination required?

Answer

Yes! In order to keep everyone safe, we will be requiring proof of vaccination in order to attend. Proof of vaccination can either be emailed to tabormaddernwedding@gmail.com or shown at the door at the venue (digital proof accepted).

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black-tie optional. Men should wear suits and ties, women should wear formal dresses, jumpsuits, or separates. It will be summer on the East Coast, so short dresses are of course acceptable!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have wedding blocks booked at Kimpton Nine Zero and Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall. The wedding party (us included) will be staying at the Kimpton Nine Zero, so we recommend booking there if you're interested in the party block!

Question

Will there be a shuttle provided for transport to/from the hotel?

Answer

Our hotel room blocks are all conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from the venue, so no transportation will be provided.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The venue is centrally located in downtown Boston and easily accessible via A short walk (if you're staying at one of the hotels where we have a room block set up) or Lyft/Uber and "T" if you have decided to stay at a different hotel.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive promptly at 5:00 pm.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

If you will be driving to the venue, you can park at the 60 State Street Garage. The garage is open 24/7 and costs $20 to park on weekends. We will be hosting an open bar for the entire event, so if you do plan on drinking, we encourage you to take advantage of Lyft/Uber!

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place indoors.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We will have professional photographers and videographers covering our entire wedding, so during the ceremony, we are asking that you do not have your phone out. You are welcome (and encouraged!) to take and post photos on social media after the ceremony has concluded! Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #LetsDoTheDernThing so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Question

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We will be serving passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence is more than enough, but if you are inclined to get us a gift, we are registered through Zola!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to make sure we are surrounded by those we love the most on this special day. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
